Renewal of expansion joints on Advent Way and Argon Road was completed today. This involved the removal of the old sealant, cleaning the joint, removing rust and damaged paint from the steel beam, applying Jotamastic 90 primer. Jotamastic 87 Intermediate coat and Jotun Hardtop XP topcoat is BS 10A03. Injection and hand tooling of Thioflex 600 sealant. Finally the drilling and insertion of weep pipes to allow drainage. We used a pontoon and access tower for this final phase of the work.
